About AIB Cape

Associated Insurance Brokers (Cape) was established in 1983 and is currently one of the largest independently run insurance brokerages in the Cape.

AIB Cape comprises a formidable team with complimentary skills and the underlying passion to service the needs of their clients.

AIB Cape began its operation from a small office in Cape Town Centre in 1983 with two members of staff. In 1991, the business purchased a property in Tamboerskloof and the staff complement swelled to accommodate the growing needs of the clients.

In 1995, AIB Cape built their own offices, AIB House, in Green Point and established itself as a brokerage capable of managing, with distinction, the relationships with its clients.

AIB Cape’s position in the insurance industry was reinforced by the results of a Professional Management Review (PMR) Survey, in which AIB Cape was rated as the third best short-term corporate insurance brokerage in South Africa. In addition, clients rated AIB Cape as outstanding with regard to an ‘awareness of short-term insurance trends and market conditions’.

AIB Cape currently maintains a substantial client base and provides superior service and advice in all areas of short term insurance.

Throughout AIB Cape’s history, the brokerage has enjoyed consistent growth in turnover year on year. This growth has been as a result of providing personal attention to clients and a commitment to meeting their needs as well as maintaining excellent relationships with our partner insurance companies.

AIB Cape’s head office relocated to Glacier Place, Tyger Valley, Cape Town, in 2013. With branches in Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal, AIB Cape has uniquely positioned itself and is committed to servicing the needs of clients throughout the South African business community.
